Non-woven geotextiles
Geotextiles are used to separate (segregate) layers of loose materials from the soil, to protect against soil silting (filtration) or to protect and ensure the stability of road slopes (reinforcement). Non-woven geotextiles have a higher puncture and tear resistance compared to woven ones. The fibres used for the production of geotextiles can be made of different materials, which significantly affects the properties of the geotextile.
